this is a quote from the August 2001 issue of Ironman stated supposably as the magazine says by John Hansen, natural olympia.
"I think its better to eat good, healthy bodybuilding food and protein drinks than junk food. I realize that extra calories are going to be stored as fat no matter, where they come from, but it makes more sense to eat foods that will contribute to muscle growth-protein, complex carbs and essential fats-as oppose to those that don't - foods that contain too many simple sugars or are too high in saturated fats."
waht do u guys think of this, i mean i get the muscle growth part, but i mean i was thinking and when ur eating past your maintenace does it really matter where ur calories are coming from?? also as riskybizz was saying on another post just like postworkout i have 75 g dextrose, sugar which is not good for me so would it be just as good to eat something that tastes good and is up there in the glycemic index. do u guys know what i mean?
