I haven't had any problems with Limewire at all. If your downloading zip files and other stuff like that, then you may have problems. If you just stick to mp3 files for music, you should have no problems with Limewire. Others have problems with viruses and such with Limewire, I suspect they are downloading all types of files like exe, mov and zip files. In Limewire, do a search and along with what your looking for, you will see different crap pop up also, and they are always exe, mov, and zip files. Thats a red flag right there. If you are trying to download, say, the movie "Borat", and a mov file is named "Borat", but its only 2,000KBs, you know its not the actual movie, because a full length movie will be around 700,000KBs. Or if you do a search for a song and you have files that come up that are exe and zip that say they are the song, but are just 22KBs in size, you know a typical song is about 3,500KBs big, so those hits are both the wrong type of file (not mp3) and wrong size. Its common sense NOT to download those files. Its easy to spot the BS while using Limewire. Just use common sense and you will have no problems.
But Limewire doesn't get as many hits during searches as other P2P software. Bearshare was great, but just today I found out they sold out, so don't bother with them unless you want to pay $.99 a song (which is ok, also).
