Protein Powders, go bad?

I have a couple of questions:

1. How long will whey powder keep? (shelf life)

2. I notice that sometimes my powders seem to get static-like, i.e when I scoop it cakes onto the side of the scoop and some of it flies off the side like it's charged. Anyone else experienced this or know anything about it?

the tubs have expiration dates, but i use them a few months past these.

Shelf life depends on conditions...packaging, temp, etc.

Protein is broken down pretty rapidly when exposed to air(don't know exact #s). But, you should be good to go for a long time if you keep it sealed up good enough.


I've also noticed #2. Don't have a clue why it happens but its cool to watch
