ok i can not lift. last wednesday i started my cutting diet after a bulking diet for four months. since then on thursday, saturday and today on monday i have had to go home after my first set of lifting. this is because my head starts hurting so much and it feels like it is going to explode, it is the most unbearable pain i have ever felt before. moving, sitting, drving alljust make the migrain worse. every day i go to lift this happens and it has never happened before for the 3 yeas i have been lifting and this is the first time i have experimented wtih a cuttign diet, i used to do maintneance. waht im wondering is does this happen to u guys on low carb cuttign diets, and will it go away will my body get used to the diet? cuz i cant lift rigth now and i need to find a solution. my diet is in a thread somewhere on this page it says this is my cuttign diet please help and critique.

That kind of pain is probably not related to your diet. The worst that can happen is that your weights decrease and you don't have as much energy. You need to see a doctor.

thanx for the reply gymtime i was thiking about that but it is weird that it just started happening right after i started my cutting diet and it is teh same pain each time. anybody else have an idea?

How old are you? I'm 27 and have started getting migraines in the last year and I think they are unrelated to diet. If you have high blood pressure, I'm told that working out can cause a headache, but what you're describing sounds pretty bad. Go to a doc. In the meantime, you can take Advil before the gym to see if that helps, but you may need a script for Imitrex. Migraines suck. They are absolutely debilitating. Let us know how it turns out.

i am 16 about to turn 17 in two months, i have been lifting for around 3 years but actually knowing and trianing for about 1.5 years and this has never happened, i cant imagine this being with the cutting diet b/c if so ppl would not be able to do this it is so bad i cannot lift at all and my head feelsl iek so much pressure is in it. the only supplements i am taking right now is protein shakes, glutamine, and first time using flaxseed oil. in the past all i have taken is these and creatine also, so i dont think it is supplements. i am not taking e/c/a stack as asked before, i was going to take e/c stack but am not giong to until i find out whats wrong here. so it could have to do with high blood pressure? i am going to go to a doctor and see if nething about that or see what he things, in the meanwhile if nebody else has had experience with this could plz resopnd would be highly appreciated.

It sounds like you have migraines, which are treatable. It sucks, but its a topic that's well studied and there are good meds out there for it.

ok i went to the doctors yesterday and went today adn got a cat scan hopefully that will tell me the problem, i went afterwards cuz i had no feeling of ne headaches to see if i could lift and sure enough around the 8th rep on my first set on bench press my head started to hurt, it feels like it fills up like pressure like a balloon and the more reps i do more pressure and it hurts. though i do not suffer from migraines as said earlier, this has never happened before and my doctor said this isnt migraines as he said the pain is usually in the sides of the heads where mine is int he back and front and by the nose.

I had the same thing happen to me, they usually go away after a few weeks (lame). Both times they happened to me I was juiced and I believe it was related to high blood pressure. I know exactly what you are talking about and if your doc tells you anything let me know :) They are exertion headaches and I got them during sex too.
