Need tips to a low fat, low carb, high protein diet.

If I want to go high pro, low fat and carbs, how much of what should I be taking in per day? How many cals below my amr should I eat, the normal 500? I got some advice on a hi pro, low carb and fat diet, but i need more info. How much % of what number (like my amr or bmr) should my protein fat and carb intake be at? (want to burn fat fast!)

exactly my point acer. I said this in another post but i believe Pardeus stated that the brain alone uses 100g of carbs/day. Imagine how much more energy we use ever day walking, lifting, etc. If you don't eat enough carbs (or fat for that matter) you will use the protein for fuel. In other words, you will turn your protein into carb for energy. You need enough of either one as acer stated.

OK guys don't stop there..If you think you have a better way to do it, then please tell me. I'm just going by what someone recommended me on another board and people agreed on that as well.

You really don't want to go low carb and low fat w/ high protein. Like acer said, you have to increase either your carbs or fat. Each nutrient serves its own purpose, when you deprive yourself of that nutrient, whatever else you intake will be used to help fulfill whatever that other nutrient used to do.

In other words you'll be eating all this meat and a big chunk of it will be used as carbs. But if you eat just enough carbs you wont run into this problem, instead protein could be used to help repair/build/or preserve muscle.

So either bring up fat or carbs, i personally would bring up carbs and go High protein, moderate carbs, low fat. And make sure your fat intake is of good fats like flaxseed oil, olive oil, and at times peanuts.

eat 400g protein a day and 150g carbs-try that for a while

diamond, that was done using my daily bmr minus calories, are you sure you shouldn't be using my amr? Can you explain why also?

you guys are dead wrong

carb cycling is the way to go.

you CAN do a low carb AND fat diet while keeping protein high. you guys are too worried about protein being used by the body as an energy source. well guess what? protein is a VERY INEFFICIENT source of carbs, right? meaning the body will use a lot of energy going through gluconeogenesis (turning protein into carbs). well, it seems obvious to me that it's TOTALLY OKAY for the body to do this....it will only go through as much gluconeogenesis as it needs to.

there are so many factors that determine metabolic rate for an individual for any given day, that you cannot try to totally figure out what your EXACT CARB REQUIREMENTS are for that SPECIFIC day. so don't worry so much about where your protein is going. your body will figure out how much your muscles need and how much should be put through gluconeogenesis.

for my last show, i did a carb cycling diet, which consisted of 2-3 lower carb days (75-150 g a day) and 1 higher carb day (200-300 g a day). this worked well, i came in more shredded than i ever was and at a higher bodyweight than ever, breaking my old mark by 12 lbs....so obviously this method works for me.
