Anyone ever hear of myostatin binders...I just started seeing adds for these.

Do they do as they claim? Or is just more suppliment hype

It is way too early to tell if myostatin binders actually work. And if they do work, it is supposed to take about two months before they start taking full action (from what I understand regarding Biotest's Myostat).

I personally went through 3 bottles of Myostat myself.

I took 1 cap in the morning and 1 cap in the evening on a consistant basis (some days I'd forget to take it).

So at 1,000 mg/day, did I notice anything?

I honestly have no idea. Yes, I did gain new muscle during that 2 month period. I gained about 5 lbs, but I was training quite hard and eating right. I'm not sure if Myostat had anything to do with my muscle gains.

I am actually still taking it -- only b/c I get it at cost from my supp store. I will post and let everyone know if I notice it doing anything during my 3rd and 4th months on it.

My advice to the average joe is to wait this product out a bit longer before opening up their wallet.

Those are my 2 cents.

I'm very interested in this as well... and really wonder if you may need double or triple the doses for it to be effective. Most supplements that hit the market have doses that do nothing, but when you double or triple the dose they usually are effective at that range. Who knows... time will tell

do a search. there was a lot of posts on myostatin binders. a bunch of good posts i believe. However, since ur lazy, like me ill give u my 2 cents. I dont believe in what they say for a couple reasons.

1.) Muscle cells stop dividing at a young age. Like preteens or earlier. If myostatin could be inhibited so new cells could develop there would be a hell-uv-a-lot news on it for the simple fact that it would have an invaluable use in the medical field. Also, you would probably see a lot of pissed off pharmaceutical companies too.

2.) I havent heard too many great things about it so far so it leads me to believe that the benefits, if any at all, arent worth the money.

Sorry to say this again, but if new muscle growth, through replication, not hypertrophy, was possible with this stuff, then there would be a lot of media. Not too mention im sure some pharmaceutical companies would kill the makers before it got to the market cause they are evil that way.

I did a couple of hours worth of research last night on this subject, the knowlegeable ones in this or similar field claim this is impossible and it this product is a rip off. As far as users go... I'd say half the people report small gains the other half have experienced absolutely nothing. Which leads me to believe it is a possible placebo affect.
