Well, last time was a nightmare in dehydration. I'm giving this another go, but I've planned more thoroughly. I divided all my daily doses out in separate ziploc baggies, so I make sure I take all my vits. I have a water schedule I'm following. I am using fitday to record all my food intake to make sure I'm adhering to the Andy Standard :)

I thought some of you, especially women as there's not much info out there for us, would be interested in my journal. Today is day 2, but I'll start with yesterday's entry...

JOURNAL ENTRY:

Day 1 of DNP diet - on target, if a little low on cal's. So far drank about 3 litres of water, going to refill my glass in a sec. Trying to drink about 4 litres of water, or more, a day.

took all my vitamins like a good girl :)

Ratios, goals:

CARBS - 163g - 652c (4c/g) 50%
PROTEIN - 130g - 520c (4c/g) 40%
FAT - 14g - 126c (9c/g) 10%

My honey helped me figure out my ratios, and nutritional information. I am going to use fitday to track my consumption 'cause I know I'm going to get a little dense from the dnp these next few days, and counting is going to feel like more trouble than it's worth!

I wonder how much fat I'm going to lose?

I must stick to the plan so I maintain optimum health as I do this cycle! Last time was a nightmare I do not intend to repeat...

dose schedule -

10:00 am - DNP, cranberry, milk thistle, vitamin E, vitamin C, multivitamin, B complex, silica, PPA, gravol, glycerol

2:00 pm - cranberry, milk thistle, vitamin E, vitamin C. (1 litre of water consumed)

6:00 pm - cranberry, milk thistle, vitamin E, vitamin C, multivitamin, PPA (2 litres of water consumed)

10:00 pm - cranberry, milk thistle, vitamin E, vitamin C (3 litres of water consumed)

12:00 pm, bedtime - glycerol (3.5 - 4 litres of water consumed - 0.5 - 1 litre to be consumed overnight)

JOURNAL ENTRY -

Still low on cals, but I hit my percentages dead on! I'll try and eat a little more today. It's hard, the DNP makes me nauseous.

Woke up at 8 am thirsty as hell, 'cause I had to pee - even though before I went to bed my pee was pretty clear it was quite yellow this morning, though very transparent (not at all cloudy like last time). Only drank about a cup of water overnight - one eighth of a litre... Not enough but I never wake up at night, I sleep like a rock.

I took my glycerol at the same time with some water, and crawled back into bed.

I got up around 10, took my dnp and vitamins before having anything to eat and it only took a minute before my stomach started to get very upset - I thought I was going to be sick, my mouth was watering in that persistent way. I think I read somewhere that cinnamon eases nausea, so as I was waiting for my water to boil to make oatmeal, I gently sniffed some cinnamon. It seemed to take my mind off it, at least. I finished the rest of the water from yesterday, meaning I drank 4 litres in 16 hours. I need to step it up a little, I don't want to get miserably dehydrated like the last time, ugh.

I'd also like to note that I got what felt like a prickly heat rash on the inner crease of my elbows, on the skin at the top of my forarm and the rough elbow patch as well. It went away after about fifteen minutes. I will read up on DNP rashes today. So far no heat discomfort though, I suppose the 2nd cap is taking a while to kick in. I hope it stays this easy for the duration of the treatment :) I measured out a ten day cycle, if it stays this easy I'll try and do fourteen.

Did a little gardening today, Andy_13 advocates a little light cardio if it's not too hard on your breathing. I was feeling pretty good so I did a little bit of winterizing in my backyard. I was only out there for forty minutes or so, raking manure (ewwww! j/k) into my flowerbeds, but I definitely broke a big sweat. It felt good to be doing something active. I'll do more tomorrow if I'm still feeling this good.

Holy Moly, You just gave me a great BRILLIANT idea.......

Tiny tiny zip lock bags, stick a thumbnail thru them, thru those pokey woody corky things on my wall..3 bags a day. This won't make sense to you.

Crumcake, glad I could help...?? lol ;) if you're anything like me, you chow down more vitamins than you can count throughout the day, and not forgetting any by accident is a chore...

JOURNAL ENTRY :

Didn't sleep too deeply, got up about 8 times to pee. Was so sleepy I walked right into the toilet, I am now sporting a nice big purple bruise on my right shin. Nevertheless, I woke up in a good mood feeling rested. I should note that my lower back is hurting, and occasionally I get an acute cramp-like stab of pain in my kidney area. I am taking cranberry pills galore, I wonder if I can get some L-Arginine at my health food store. Free-form amino acids aren't legal for sale in Canada, but there is one naturopath I know who would let me have some of her "personal supply" for a price. I'll go see her this weekend.

I am on target with my water, took my glycerol at 9 when I woke up and finished my water from last night. I'm drinking exactly 4 litres every 24 hours. I still haven't gotten uncomfortably warm...

I felt fine this morning - took my third cap at 10, with my other morning vitamins, and breakfast. I wasn't nauseous at all, and didn't get that elbow rash this time. I'll make sure to eat a few bites of food before popping my pills from now on.

Broke a tiny sweat a couple of times during the day, but no significant discomfort.
 
Good point karde - I am taking one 200mg cap of crystal DNP every morning. I'd rather go long and light than short and heavy, I think this will me much easier for my body to handle. And, the more slowly I drop the fat, hopefully the less loose my skin will feel after my water retention goes away...
 
Day 4

Ok, unfortunately my food consumption isn't going to be as accurate as it has been the past three days... I had to go out and ended up grabbing a low fat veggie wrap at the mall... it was filled with grilled veggies, wrapped (no rice) in a spinach tortilla... I had it with a side garden salad, no olives, no dressing. Any guesses to the nutritional value? :)

JOURNAL ENTRY -

Forgot to take glycerol last night before bed :( took it at six this morning, when I woke up to pee for the umpteenth time, and remembered. Went back to sleep, I am so tired - pertly because I have the DNP drowse, partly because I usually sleep so soundly adn my stupid bladder sounds the alarm to my brain, once an hour, every hour... Heelp! Au Secours!!!

So anyway, got up at around 9:30, ate breakfast at ten - finished my water from last night. I am so glad I work from home, I can barely do anything but eat, drink, and take vitamins. I am being so careful to make sure I'm well fed and hydrated that it takes up all my energy and concentration. The rest of the time I divert myself mindlessly on Elite... lol

Mom dragged my ass to the mall this afternoon, hoofed around for four hours, stopped for a salad and a wrap at East Side's, BIG glass of water... Was pretty wiped out when I got home, so I took some more vitamins, made some home made soup (low fat, very high in potassium, yummy! PM me for recipe) and drank another litre or so of water before bed... took glycerol again and hit the sack.

I am glad to be feeling fine, it keeps me optimistic for tomorrow - I have a company Christmas party to attend, tomorrow evening - I know, I am being much more responsible this time around, but I can't help but be superstitious about day 5 when last cycle it was the day that did me in. Hopefully it won't be the point where my body gets fed up of the DNP and lashes out at me in anguished teen-like rebellion.
