forestry shit, running chainsaws mostly.
used to think runnin saw was fun, then i cut my chaps and had a saw kick back and almost hit my hardhat.
been scared ever since

i'm a squad leader, equal to a sargeant more or less.
sarg still has to get his hands dirty...the crew boss, or captain, is still out in the field and expected to be a tough guy.
thinking about re-certing to be a teacher next winter, if i could land a gym teacher gig i'd be so stoked.
happy to at least have a good job lotsa fux don't have that right now

Yep, it's nice as hell. I sat on the porch until midnight sipping on Lagavulin 16 year scotch and smoking a montecristo last night in my shorts and it wasn't the slightest bit cold - just a slight ocean breeze.

I think the FF bros here do alright. I'm sure you could find out probably easier than I could. condos are cheap as hell right now. Houses have come down...some areas more than others. Food and stuff is pretty cheap IMO. Gas is high as hell (close to $4/gal). Plenty of people live here on a lot less than what you'd make.

Just move a little inland or to Northern SD. Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Poway, etc... They are affordable.
