i've lost 3.5" on my waist in the last month, but my weight has stayed the same at 262. does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? i'm not gaining LBM, i know that. WTF is this? this has happened before, when i was 289 i stayed at 289 for a month but lost about 3" on my waist before i actually started losing weight too.

why are you saying that you're not gaining LBM?! do you not workout, because it seems to be a reason for the observed phenomenon. On the other hand you might have some estrogen problems, i.e. gaining fat in other, specific regions of your body thus weight stays the same...but this doesn't really make sense since your waist size decreazed?!

bump for more..^^

im looking thinner, others have noticed this too.

i doubt i'm gaining LBM because there's roughly 5 lbs per 1" on the waist, so i know i am not gaining 18 lbs of LBM in a month when off cycle.

I mean just because you don't notice it very much, does not mean you are not gaining any muscle. Does it bother you alot that you are looking thinner but weigh the same? I think it is the looks that count. If i weighed 300 pounds but looked awesome, whats the big deal ya know?

Bump^

it bothers me because i have no idea whats going on. this has happened before, but it passed after a month or so.

i dont look awesome. i still have to lose about 5" on my waist before i will be lean (around 12%).

Couild be you've put on some lean tissue, and lost some water weight which normally happens while dieting -- you're less bloated so your waist shrinks.

I know that when I come off a carb-up, I can easily drop an inch or two in pant size. Then again, I also lose about 10 lbs...so maybe I dont know what the fuck I'm talking about.

At any rate, you're getting thiner. Be happy about that.

Hah, good one..

anyways...at 262lbs i'd venture to say you're a big dude, therefore muscle increment might not be as visible to you as say to me...if i gained 18 lbs of lbm i'd look like cyborg because i have about 5-6% bodyfat along with only 167-170lbs (depending on time of day :) ) I remember in the other thread you mentioned that overall you lost 8.5 inches in waist and you need to lose 5" more? i'd say you probably have a high enough bodyfat, which combined with your overall weight, does not produce a visual effect of gaining muscle. Also, why do you say that 1" in waist is 5lbm? is it some kind of body proportion formula?
