How Can I OutLift My Training Partner on Incline But He Outlifts me On Flat Bench?

I mean he can do 10lbs heavier db than me for 7 reps where I can only get maybe 1 rep at that weight. But I can do 15lbs(per side) heavier on incline db presses. I know my shoulders are stronger than his but isn't incline still a chest and tri exercise just like the flat bench?
 
Some people are just better at some movements than others, this might be because you have different insertion points on you humerus. Or your shoulders are that much stronger. Don't worry about my friend kicks my ass every time we arm wrestle or gor drinking, but on every single lift i can beat him easily.
 
It also has to do with how much of each excercise you've been doing lately, on your current workout. For example, I haven't done flat bar bench in months. I'd be lucky to get 205 up for 8. But I've been doing dbs instead and I usually work in the 85-105lb range.

But don't sweat it curling. People are funny that way. I SUCK at arm wrestling too.
 
Most of it is probably because you are young (lifting wise). Both exercises have a lot to do with technique, leverage, and different strengths. Timing, speed, etc...are totally different on these lifts.

Bodystructure plays a large role too.

you prob got stronger shoulders and upper chest or just better at that motion like that guy already said
