i tried to get a guy i work with to get into the gym and his excuse is always "yeah i got a kid, its not easy, I have no time" blah blah blah the dude even took up smoking from all the stress. i think its bs if you cannot dedicate 1 hour a day to the gym but i have no kids so wtf do i know.

how has your own personal experiences been after you have had a baby?

having worked in the gym industry i can tell you its all up to the person. if someone is dedicated and working out for them is a must they always make it in. ive signed up single moms with like 5 kids lol. the ones that are fit always seem to be the most successfull also.

I have a 1 year old daughter she doesn't wake up till 10 or 11 am so I go first thing in the morning... There's no excuse except being lazy!

10 AM ! you are so lucky my 1 year old is awake the minute the sun is up along with our 4 year old - its all about organisation and planning , i work full time and my wife prepares all my meals /shakes the evening before and we work as a team to make sure we both get to workout , funny thing is we spend more quality time together as a family than the others that we know that dont workout , some people will always find an excuse not to work out

Lol she wakes up every 3 hours or so at 2, 5 then i give her another bottle at 8 when im headed to the gym and she falls back asleep till 10 but she goes to sleep around the same time as me... still it takes an hour a day not having the time before work on your lunch break or after work is just a bs excuse there are gyms everywhere!

I have 3 young kids and I'm still able to find time everyday for working out. Alot of the time they watch me workout lol, helps that I have a gym at home.

Well, kids do take time. I would explain to your friend not to let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Ideally, he might should train 3 or more times a week. However, even going one time a week is better than nothing. And I bet if you got him on a manageable once a week schedule, he would eventually try and go more than that once he got in the habit.

Maybe also introduce him to EF! For a little extra encouragement.

My son was born a week ago :) it does effect my work out but I still get In
the gym. You have to be able to adapt and not stay so rigid . For example I usually work out mon/ tues/thurs/fri. Thus week has been mon/wed/ fri/hopefully sat. Having support from your partner also helps out big time. My advise would be leaving for the gym as soon as the kids fall asleep ( assuming their is another adult at the house)
