Got a parking ticket in my own driveway.

That's really what I plan on doing. The ticket doesn't say location of violation, and when I show the judge that it is in my own driveway, he will hopefully use common sense and dismiss it and hopefully the policeman gets word that what he did was totally dick.

This really is such an absurd thing to write a ticket like this.

I agree...Worst case scenario you are forced to pay the fine and you lose a little bit of your time (which we all know is worthless).

ROFL, you fag.

I suspect someone would have to complain for something like this to happen.

Who the hell would complain about this?

uhm, neighbors that hate you, someone walking, someone in a wheelchair, someone whos kid was walking and didnt want them hit
or a cop doing their (small part of) job

it sucks theres a sidewalk in the middle of your driveway but its a public easement... too bad
rear tires on the sidewalk tells me everything behind the rear tires was over it

pay the 25 bucks and save 4 hrs of your life in court

If the car was obstructing the walk way, then I can see a reason for complaint. There is 15 feet of room on all sides of the car to easily walk around without even the slightest bit of inconvenience for anyone walking, running, riding their bike, or in a wheelchair.

And, no, it is not a cops job to write tickets to people parked in their own driveway in a cul-de-sac in a quiet, clean neighborhood.

LOL ok didnt you talk about how there was tagging in your neighborhood now and the cop should be looking into that?...well maybe the cop who from your neighborhood complaints was pulled off of REAL crimes like rape, murder, domestics to patrol your subdivision and while he was in there invesigating petty things he saw your vehicle breaking a petty law.
Just saying be careful what you ask for.

Oh and the judge doesnt care if you think it is sooo minor that the ticket should not have been written. Your own pictures show you are guilty so I agree...pay the fine and save yourself the trouble.

i feel for ya bro.

in columbus every parking ticket you get is $50. i got three of them in a month. one said i was an inch over the parking sign.

lol....

cities do anything to get money from you now

i got a ticket for parking on the "esplanade" which is the strip of grass that is between the road and sidewalk in front of my house. i'd at least somewhat understand if i was way up on it, but i was a tire width on the grass. i couldn't believe it. shit that pisses me off is that i am responsible for maintaining the esplanade, yet i get a ticket for parking on it.

As much as I hate to agree with you, you are right.

however, atleast a warning would have been nice for a first time. As if anyone ever thinks that parking in their own driveway is somehow a violation of the law. Fucking ridiculous.

Next time I'll just kill the cop, put him in a hole in the desert, and the car will disappear in my garage until a car transporter to mexico picks it up and takes it away. No more parking tickets at my own house.

Justice is served!
