Friend went to a hearing today to straighten out some child support thing, and they told him he has to pay 145 bucks a week which is basically more than half his check. This is for one child. Makes absolutely no sense. Plus on top of that he has to pay for junk for when the kid comes to stay over on the weekends. Personally I think it's bullshit. I don't see how these fucking courts think youre supposed to live by paying bills and buying food and then also pay 60% of your check away.

Feed me some loopholes guys, what can this guy do?

he said all these papers he had to fill out about his income and expenses and whatnot meant seemingly nothing being they didint look at them. They just asked how much he made hourly, what she made , who pays for his insurance, etc, and punched the numbers in the pc and that was it. They don't care if people might have bills and need to live themselves or what?

How far do you think less than $600 per month is going to take the mother in raising a child. Hell, it wont even pay her daycare in most places just so she can go to work to support the child.

Dude she lives at home, pays no rent, makes 30 grand a year.

He lives at home but may as well be living on his own as he actually pays full rent to his mom, has to buy his own food and cant even afford a car. He's up to his ass in bills and debt that his brothers fucked him over with.

Also, she uses half of the double block she lives in that her parents own as her own address to make it seem like she has more expenses going out than she really does.

As of now, any hopes he had of moving out completely on his own are basically gone. The courts took him from borderline poverty for my area to poverty, while the kid who was living a fine life as it is just got an even better one. Make sense?
