They are great for sweetening in low-carb bars. Since they are basically undigestible they stay intact and travel on down the GI and are a major feeding ground for microbacteria. The flatulance that is accumulated from this occurence sucks, but not too bad. All I know is that after 2 Advant or Myoplex low-carb bars in the day, I have some major ass gas which sucks when you are sitting in class all day.
