First Cycle Test E Dosage?

I've been looking into Test E dosages for a 10 week cycle across 4 different boards and there is no consensus. I've seen everything from a suggested 200mg to 1000mg, and the so called average ranging from 400-700mg.
Is there any consensus here?
5'10 182lbs 15%bf, diet is currently in check, been back in the gym 20 straight months and getting my final prep in for my first cycle, but I'm trying to sort through a lot of the misinformation around the net as well. Thanks for the help.
 
how old are you and how long youve been working out for?test e is always a good choice for a first cycle you can do 500mg for 10 weeks .just have an ati-e and have your pct before you start your cycle have a good diet set up and you're good to go bro...
 
It's unbeleivable that someone would say a gram, but I've seen the fucks do it! If you have T250 it's gonna be easier to get an even 500 per week with 2 cc's. Seems more first cycles start out with 500 mg/wk now that Brovel, and Tornel aren't on the scene. To be honest bro, you will grow like a weed on just 250mg per week for your first cycle, but everyone is gonna tell you to go for the higher dose! Diet....Get your diet right! It's the most important step.

How old are you?

What are your goals?

If you are just wanting to gain 5-15-lbs of bodyweight or to get that 'look good' feel like most here, then 500mg/wk of Test enanthate will be fine.

However, if you are dead serious on obtaining maximum amount of muscle and to take advatage of your very first virgin cycle, then I am one of the "fucks" who advocate 1gm per week.

Depends on your goals and what you are looking to obtain.

Prior gym experience and age are also factors to add in.

Take an Aromatase Inhibitor such as Aromasin or AIFM with your test cycles.

Well heres my 2 cents i have done 2 cycles 500mgs sus for 10 weeks and my second was 400mg test e and 300 mg deca i gained 8lbs the first time and this time my weight stayed the same but i got leaner and harder looking and strong as an ox but the second 1 i was on calorie deficent diet to lose some bf and it worked.my next cycle in april will consist of 750-1grm of test maybe test E or cyponate EQ and deca i think i am 1 of thoes people that needs alot of test it will prob be my best gains who knows .....

but just start at 500mg that will be plenty eat good and you will be happy

I'd say on average, when people do thier first cycle the gains are somewhere between 20 to 30 pounds, depending on your training intensity, and your diet. That's on the normal recommended dose of 400 to 500 mg/wk for someone doing a first cycle. So what would he expect to gain on 1 gram? Cause it doesn't get much better than 25 or 30 pounds. Then where do you go from there? Up in the dosage for your 2nd cycle? A gram is a bit ridiculous.

there's a great forum on this exact same discussion over at anabolic fitness. changed my mind about the whole 1gr test/wk dosage. that said, i'm am just starting my first cycle on 500mg cause that's all i got. 10wks and i'm sure i'll be pleased with it.

I'm totally up for new ideas. I've tried posting a couple about GH, and some recent articles, but I get absolutely nothing back. Honestly, if I could go back and do my first cycle over, I would do 4 to 6 months of GH with a minimal amount of test, maybe 250 mg. per week. You could easily gain 30 or more pounds and keep every bit, which is the reason we all do steroids in the first place. Correct? The juice is a never ending cycle. Your gonna eventually lose what you gain if you stop training, give or take 5 or 10 pounds. Why not create new muscle cells the first go around, and keep the all the weight? That's my opinion.
 
Still reading through the posts, but just to answer the question, I'm 26, and like I mentioned in the OP, I've been back in the gym for the last 20 months. My goal is to continue cutting by way of diet, but to try to add 10-20lbs muscle.
Question though, how much does the average person retain with a good PCT after finishing their first cycle? I guess that is sorta a cost/benefit question. And for a first cycle should I stick with just the Test E, or add something else a few weeks in?
