I've gotta say that this, by far, is one of the most depressing threads that I've seen in along time. We can all theorize about why people split up and why people don't get along; but I'm getting the sense that some of you are relishing it and think that anyone who gets married must be an idiot.

im far from soft, and any man that thinks so of me will be disappionted. I am however logical, and i am willing to talk. I hate to argue, beyond means... its so damn childish.

we will never agree on everything, but i wish that my mate and i could just agree to disagree on topics. And well.. argue and make up...isn't make up sex the best damn sex ever?

I have like 3 buddies from high school that all had kids young and got married and became these super dad/husbands. Never go out, always with their wife and kid. Work, spend time with them..thats it. well 2 already had their wives leave them , and the 3rd just had his wife say "i want a divorce" . they are all around my age. 25. Now these guys did not cheat, did nothing wrong for the most part.


I have always said this and I think alot of people know it. Women dont want that perfect guy..you need to be kind of an asshole and have an attitude and put them in their place sometimes. I mean you dont need to be shady or evil but I guarantee if your Mr Nice perfect husband it wont last. Especially nowadays and especially with young attractive women! YOu need to have some drama in your relationship..keeps you both interested.

After having been there done that, it comes down to the fact that they are too young period. Being married isn't a part time job and if your not ready it will end. As for the woman, everyone I have talked to including doctors, etc have all seen that when the get around 35 they decide to cheat and look for the grass that is greener on the other side. Guys do the same thing, but I don't know what the avg age is for them.

We also call it the 5-7 year itch. The fun has worn off and the work is beginning and that is when they toss their hands up and quit because that is the easier thing to do!
