Check out this AE half-life profile of various drugs

DOM, very strange indeed considering Durabolin gets into the blood stream very quickly and is very fast acting considering the 9 carbon ester chain. I would like to hear more responses to this.

Obviously, cyclic carbon structure is not very effective way to prolonge half life. The formula 1 carbon for 1 day doesn't apply in this case.
The half lifes from AE'a article are taken from Bill Roberts article on esters on Meso site, and are very unaccurate, IMO, at least.
With the exception of esters with cyclic carbon structure, the formula 1 carbon = 1 day of half life is the closest to real life.
Article on this site, basically saying the same, if by duration of release author meant 2 half lives, which he probably did.

My mistake, the ester undecylenate is not a cyclic structure, I was misreading it as unde-cycle-nate.

I would not be surprised if you're right, panerai.

The half life of the ester also depends somewhat on what parent drug it is on.

So ur saying, although phenylpropionate has a 9 carbon ester, its half-life is short because propionates is short?
