Obviously, cyclic carbon structure is not very effective way to prolonge half life. The formula 1 carbon for 1 day doesn't apply in this case.
The half lifes from AE'a article are taken from Bill Roberts article on esters on Meso site, and are very unaccurate, IMO, at least.
With the exception of esters with cyclic carbon structure, the formula 1 carbon = 1 day of half life is the closest to real life.
Article on this site, basically saying the same, if by duration of release author meant 2 half lives, which he probably did.
