I have so much to say i really don't know where to start! Sorry i didn't get anything put up last night, i am in the most unbelievable pain right now and last night i was completely out of it and could not function what so ever. I was tired as fuck but my CNS was still wired out from all the stimulants from the show i couldn't fall asleep.
Anyway got there and was feeling pretty confident. It was my first time in the under 231 weight class and i was unbelievably calm for some reason. I think this was one of the major factors to why i did so well. I knew when to get pumped up and not to over do it to the point where i made stupid mistakes. I honestly can't think of ANY mistakes i made which cost me something so i am really happy about that. They made a few last minute changes which kind of sucked.
The event order was the following:
Car DL for reps - 600lbs
Conan's Wheel - ~350lbs is what we were told it was, personally i think it was closer to 450-500lbs.
Sand bag / Yoke Medley - 200lb sandbag 25', 150lb sandbag 50', 700lb yoke 50'
Log Press - 200lbs for reps
Atlas Stones - 215lb to 60", 280lb to 56", 280lb to 52", 315lb to 48", 330lb to 44"
They changed the Yoke weight from 600 to 700, a weight i have never done before but i still managed 2nd on that event. They also upped the weight on the sand bag in the medley to 200 but i didn't really care about that because sandbags i have no problem with at any weight really.
So first up was the car DL. We were allowed to use straps which originally were not allowed. I banged out about 10-11 pretty effortlessly then started to slow down somewhat. I wanted to just do 1 more rep then the highest guy to win it and conserve my energy for later because i already knew my back was fucked up going into the comp and didn't want to do anything crazy on the car DL because as impressive as it would have been it would have just hindered me later on. I ended up doing 15 reps which luckily was 1 more then the next guy to give me a win on that event. If i had to i could have done 20-22 reps, luckily nobody was doing anything crazy that day.

Next up was the Conan's wheel. I was already well prepared for this event because i am lucky enough to have one to train on with my crew. I should have had 2 revolution's in me but i stopped a little short because my back just gave out. Took 3rd on this event.

Next was the Yoke medley. Alot of guys barely moved the yoke at all. I am pretty sure i have never done 700 before so i am pretty happy i moved it as far as i did. After the 2nd pick i felt immediate pain in my knee that i tore the tendon in months ago. Took 2nd on this event. This totally beat the shit out of my body. My back was COMPLETELY locked up after this, my knee hurt like a bitch and i had to tape it and was still in pain despite the massive amounts of tylenol and advil i was eating.

Next up log press, my worst event. Luckily the guy who i was tied for first with at this point was also a shitty presser. He squeezed out one more rep then me and now was 1pt. ahead. I had to wrap my knees because my one i hurt the tendon on would just give out when i bent to a certain point. You can see how unstable my legs were when i had the log up on my chest racked out.

Last up was stones, the deciding event. At this point i was wishing there was a bullet in my head. My back and knee hurt so goddamn bad i wasn't even sure i was going to be able to load the first stone. Caught a bad edge on the 2nd or 3rd stone which i had to load twice which cost me possibly winning. I just gave up after i couldn't pick the last stone i got stuck on, my back just completely shut down and i knew it was over.

So in the end i took 2nd Place. So if you can't tell my back hurts like a bitch. I can't even sit here and type without being in massive amounts of pain. I can't sit up or bend over at all and have to move very gingerly. As soon as i got back i took some muscle relaxers i had from the doctor the last time my back got fucked up. I probably missed alot but just post up what ever you guys want to know and i'll answer when i can. My dad has all the pics so i'll post them up. when he emails me them.
