best diet to maintain body weight?

BiggerisBetter

New member
My stats:
20 years old, 240, 6'4", 10pbf

I currently just want to maintain my body weight and want some advice on what route i should take.
First off, i am thinking i should consume about 3500 cal (240*15)?
Is this about right or should i multiply my bodyweight by 12 instead?
Second i am thinking i am going to do the isocaloric split (33, 33, 33)
What are your thoughts on this?
Also i weight train 5 days a week, and 3 days of light cardio post workout (30min on treadmill, 3mph 8%incline)
I am looking for any suggestions, i just want to maintain my muscle mass and not increasing by body fat

eat 350g protein a day,125g carbs in the form of oatmeal or brown rice and you'll be ok

No way that is enough carbs to maintain your weight especially at your size and frequency you workout in. Play around the 200-250g mark for carbs and keep protein high. Also make sure to keep fats moderate.

i disagree with this statement
P: 350g*4=1400cal
C: 125g*4=500cal

Thats only 1900 cal from protein and carbs and my maintance is probably close to 3500cal. Even with substantial fat in my diet i would still loose weight.

Going by my 33/33/33 split for 3500 cal, that breaks down to:
290g protein, 290g carbs, 130g fat
Any opinions?
