since taking off time from the gym, and only being able to do low intensity cardio, I dont feel like my body needs carbs - like when I train. Today..was kinda weird.. 40mins cardio..an hour later I had a chicken and avo salad, then 3 hrs later protein powder w tablespoon flax and pysllum husks, 3hrs later protein shake and one egg. Dinner was salmon, broccoli and salad. I had almonds and low fat no carb cheese a couple hours later.

Am I totally stuffing up my diet by eating this way...I wasnt at all hungry..all these meals kept me full.

How many calories do you burn during a workout? If I workout for 1 hour, I burn maybe 300-400 calories, <80g carbs. Lets say that I burn an extra 15g of carbs synthesizing protein and repairing tissue. So theoretically, I need 95g less carbs per day, and also less protein and fat. I guess carbohydrate would be decreased the most for me, followed by protein and fat equally.

If you are eating a lot of protein already, your carbohydrate needs are lowered anyway. You're also not working out much, so catabolism is not high.

However, I think your body will burn whatever you throw at it if you eat maintenance level calories or lower. I don't think you'll put on fat if you eat more carbs, and most of your protein is probably not being used for its amino acid content --- lots of it will be converted to glucose.

It's basically up to you. If you function well on this low of carbs, then I guess you are fine. Some people are in ketosis year round, some people eat 70% carbs year round.

with such a diet you may feel weak and tired after a few days

and beware of catabolism
