I just wanted to let everyone know that I encourage everyone to participate -- vets, newbies, everyone. All genuine questions will be respected and all sincere responses are welcome.
I have no interest in dominating any subject. I'll try to contribute what I can but I'm not too proud to admit that I don't have all he answers and I can learn along with everybody. Some people are good with the science stuff, some with the medical stuff, some have the experience, others have fresh ideas. The more input, the better it is for everyone.
This board is an experiment of sorts. There will be no distinquishing between topics. No censorshp. No deleting or closing of threads. If there's a subject on another forum that you think might get a new slant here, bring it over. There are no boundries. It may be idealistic but I believe this can be succesful with just the slightest but of respect and consideration. Most flame wars are the result of one or two trouble makers whose only intention is to disrupt the board. I think we're all sick of that.
I think digger, George, myself and all the mods can deal with heated and contrary opinions as long as they pertain to any given topic, even "off topic" stuff. If anyone allows posts to digresses to personal insults or attacks, as far as I'm concerned, they're gone.
I feel like a host at a party. And a good party has a mixture of people and personalities.I'm not here to dictate the conversation -- just to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves as much as possible... short of having to call the police. : )
