A Few Questions on Weightloss

Im male, 23, 6'4, 215 pounds

Ive been weightlifting on and off for 5 years. Id like to lose the rolls off my gut, as my fat seems to accumulate in the lower adominal and lower back area.

My question:

is it easier for an individual to lose fat if they are severley overweight, rather than slightly overweight (say by 5-10 pounds)?? This seems to be true based on some of the miracle stories posted by overweight people on the board who just watch their carbs and do no cardio and shed 80 pounds!!

Im watching my diet, and doing 20-25 minutes of cardio 4 times a week, plus moderately heavy weight training on cardio days. Im considering doing a 3 week clen cycle supplmented with ketotifen. Do you think its possible to lose the stubborn abdominal fat on this program?

Ive already tried the CKD diet. Didnt work. I wasted away to a measley 185 pounds!!! and added another half inch to my waist. Encouragements welcome!

Bro.....most of the people that you hear telling you how they lost 50lbs on just dieting maybe full of shit. If they're not....it's more likely that their body was just used to eating fattening foods and when they started eating healthy their body reacted by loosing fat. First off I would suggest doing more cardio then 20 min. 4 days a week. I'd bump it up to atleast 30 min. at 5 days each week. As you said, your diet is in check.....so I won't give you any pointers on that. Just keep at it and those roles will eventually come off....but you have to be patient!!!

thanks bro,

patient you say.....can u give a ballpark time frame?

Im hoping not months....cause cardio is bullshit!! :)

hmmmzz, you say your diet is in check and still you cant lose of 3 days a week weigth trainer plus 4 days cardio??
either you diet is not in check
or your chronically overtrained
or your not eating enough, starvation mode

dont get me wrong this is not a flame by far, but we just cant help you without a lot more info

Sorry I didnt make it clear. I just started my diet/cardio 5 days ago.

Actually, Im glad you brought up the diet, because Im unsure about optimal caloric intake when dieting. I hear some people say debit 10% of BMR ........

Im aiming around 2500 calories a day. High protein, moderately high complex carbs, low fat. Im trying to avoid counting calories as it sucks ass. Im guesstimating the reduction of food amounts. Not stuffing my face with rice and chicken. I dont eat any junk food, i dont eat burgers ect....... This should work , but I hear the last few inches are the hardest, and thats all im trying to lose.

By the way, how many hours before bedtime should a person eat their last carb meal??

buddy i know counting sucks but if you want to be really succesfull at dieting, and getting a six pack implies being very succesfull, you will have to count. (writing everyting down sucks such ass, that why im making a nice foodlog program :D)

Just get mayb 200 or 300 cals less and see how you get on. If its not enough cut more if its to much cut less.

And that carb cut off time hmmmzz lots of diferent opinions on that. Do a search and see them all :D

The more fat you have to lose, the easier it is initially.... it's when your bodyfat levels start getting lower that it becomes harder to lose.

Your body wants to have some fat in case of emergency, so it fights you for those last few pounds.... they are always the hardest to lose.
