I'd want to have the child even with downs. Know one knows for sure exactley how this person experiences life. It may be quite rewarding and fulfilling for them.

I know people say a lot of things in a joking manner but this is just wrong.

Yes it is just wrong. But is it wrong that I said it, or is it wrong that such a thing is a possibility? or that it's being contemplated in this case?

Don't get mad at me, I never will kill any kids.

I would kill.. I would not choose the puritanical little house on the Montel Oprah option...

Down's people do not have much quality of life. Abortion is a right.

You are quite wrong.

I am not wrong. You are not wrong. Our opinions just differ. Regardless, you do not have the right to push your moralistic view onto others. Abortion is a basic human right. What a woman does with her body his her business.

HAve I pressed any views? I haven't even mentioned abortion other than stating the partents were thinking about it.

You are WRONG in the statement, "Down's people do not have much quality of life. Abortion is a right."......in whose mind? Yours? Maybe they like their lives...they know no different.

If my fiance got into a wreck and became wheelchair bound, I would not leave her. This type of situation would be out of our control. They DO have the control/option to terminate the baby and try again.

Soooo...You're saying you could still love your girl if she's a drooling vegetable the rest of her life...But, since you can be in "control" during the 1st few weeks/months of the fetus' life, you'd not be able to love a DS child?

Sorry, I can't turn the love button on and off with "controls" and guidelines.

Besides, if that happened I would carry on being her husband... she had no choice and we are together for better or for worse....

But the child isn't even yet a human being.. much better to try again for a healthy child.
