5 days in jail or 240 community service hours?? which would you choose?

LOL, I love it! Try to keep to yourself when you first get "inside" but you may end up having to join a jail gang to make it all the way through your 5 days without some DUI offender doing weekends makes you his bitch.

That's where that "throat-punching" comes in. Since county jail violence is so rampant (all those cameras and jailers checking on you are just for looks) you must watch your back at all times! If you don't, one minute you may be enjoying a game of cribbage or monopoly, the next minute your getting shanked by some punk that's sitting the weekend for underage drinking in his attempt to rise higher in the ranks of the jail cell hierachy.

I'm not sure where you all live , but in New Orleans the jail is called Orleans Parish Prison. In short it's called OPP, just like that song from Naughty by Nature.

I had a downtown lawyer tell me that he had a client that got arrested for DUI in New Orleans and got sent there. Judge Foti who runs that jails make folks who get caught during the weekend spend the weekend there and then they can post bond on Monday morning.

That dude got raped repeatedly between the time he was arrested until he got out. He filed suit with New Orleans and the city only defense was "you shouldn't have been driving drunk"

I did 118 days in jail PLUS 200 hrs community service. No sir. I didnt like it.
5 days or 240 hrs?........I'd take the 5 days

it's jail... a week of your life given, for what??? fuck that.

jail would be the more selfish route to take.....more tax dollars spent, not helping the community.

You may go in Monday with your dignity, Wednesday you are wearing a dress and crushing up crayons for makeup and by Friday you are afraid you wont be able to readjust to life on the street after your bid! LOL

Seriously though, 5 days isnt shit. Just stay up partying for 3 days before you go in and enjoy the rest. Hell pop a few xanax right before you go in and when you wakeup it will be halfway over.

I had to do some time and before I went into court for my sentence I popped some klonopin and the next thing I knew, I was waking up two days later and was already done with all the processing and other bullshit.

Drugs, they'll get you sent to jail, but they'll help you through it too

I had a buddy who was doing "weekend jail" for a few months.

He would get trashed and high as fuck right before he went in every time. Imagine dropping a few hits of acid or something right before you go in....

well i would take the 5 days in jail because one its jail and not prison, and if you take the community service and miss a day they will have someone at your house and they will make u do the 5 days anyway especially something like slap( sheriffs labor assistants program)
