Yeah, there is nothing wrong with paying through the nose for good health insurance(rolls eyes) Only
to be bombarded with Co-pays and partial coverage for everything under the sun meaning paying another 10-20% of the final cost cause your insurance "doesn't cover that"

Our healthcare system needs to be slaughtered
also, if you think this ONLY happens or happened in this area, you have your head in the sand.

Insurance companies should be required by law to provide 100-page contracts stating all terms (as I have no remorse for people who sign contracts without reading them). Unfortunetly, insurance companies don't have to, and they can claim "standard" values for everything from prescriptions to in-patient care.

From your article:

"Eight of the nine patients have drug abuse problems, seven were diagnosed with mental health issues and three were homeless... "They have a variety of complaints," he said. With mental illness, "a lot of anxiety manifests as chest pain.""

Unresponsive. The article has nothing to do with people paying for premium healthcare or unexpected tragedies. These are poors and addicts. It is these people that need to be slaughtered, not the healthcare system they are trying to take advantage of. HTH

Welcome to like year 1995?

Homeless, illegals have been abusing public hospitals for years. Everyone and their mother knows - if you're pregnant, just claim you're illegal, pop the baby and walk away. Even if yopu're not illegal, walk away. Think OctoMom paid 1 cent for 8 kids?

And all hospital people know that homeless people use ambulances and ER rooms as cheap hotels and taxis. Cuz the media 'Hospital turns down homeless man!' are just waiting outside ready to break the news. Easier to just bill the taxpayers.
