Competitions (drug tested & on TV) - Bodybuilding, Fitness & Model

Anyone interested in competing should consider the Musclemania Canada, the TSN Fitness Series & the Fitness Canada Pageant. All these events are full TV shows on TSN, RDS, WTSN. Open to international athletes of all ages & experience levels (including first timers). Great prizes - past prizes have included motorcycles, mountain bikes, all inclusive vacations, gym equipment... To get ready for these events try any of the regional events in British Columbia, Quebec, New York, Ontario... or the Practice Events or even the Routines Only Contest where you don't even have to be dieted down!!! dieting down is practice and if I want to see fat out-of-shape bodybuilders with half-ass routines I'll go to a local show. Natural or not.

Natural doesn't = don't have to diet although many use that excuse. Sounds to me like this is to try and get anyone and everyone to compete simply to market the show.

The only reason we have the Routines Only show is because athletes requested it. It's too hard to hit your exact target a few times weeks apart - it's for anyone training towards either the Eastern Candian Naturals a few weeks later or the TV events. The event is targeted towards athletes so you're not going to get out of shape individuals on stage. Remember, they are athletes and are entering into only the Routine portion of a bodybuilding, fitness, figure show. Athletes have told us that it's what they always wanted - no emphasis on their physique - just a showcase of their talent. It does NOT mean they will come in 'out of shape'. This is a good place for anyone who is testing out a new routine to test it out & then get feedback from the judges on how to improve it for the TV Events. It's meant to be a fun, high energy & unique show. Why you're so negative - we don't really understand.

As far as the Practice Event - that's not a competition, rather it's a Workshop/Seminar for anyone who wants to compete & doesn't know how to get started, or for anyone who has competed in the past & needs suggestions & feedback on how to improve. It's up to the athlete to decide what they want to gain from the workshop. If their symmetry is always off & they don't know why, then they should diet down and get the proper feedback on what's off. If they want to learn tricks on posing better & want to see how little movements can make a huge difference, they will not come to the event completely out of shape. However on the other hand if someone wants to just listen, ask questions, & try to learn new tips, they don't have to worry at all about the diet.
