This is the only game of the week where the home team Is the underdog.
the 49ers came off a hard fought win in frozen GB last week and are a very tough road team.. the Panthers were also 12-4 this year overall and a very strong 7-1 at home after starting the season very slow at 1-3 and rumbles of HC Ron Rivera being fired they have stormed back to win every game since except for at New Orleans and managed to win the NFC South in a shocker.
Steve Smith is expected to play but the oddsmakers still think the battle ready 49ers are the better team as they are slight favorites after opening as slight underdogs
