the can and gun might actually just be for show... from my understanding even though they're job can be "dangerous" they have to comply with their probation. in other words they can't have weapons period. the show is rigged anyways. the guy they picked up from my corrections facility knew the day before they were coming for him. they actually had a talk before the cameras started rolling. then he went into a tear jerking speech for the other "inmates" and took the guy and split.
