why can’t I lose weight?

I used to be very lean growing up, always was the skinny kid. Once I got out of college I started to gain a lot of weight eating a lot of junk food. Now I am 26 and have tried everything to lose weight, I count my calories and eat in a deficit. I seem to be gaining weight not losing it, what am I doing wrong/
 
You need to do fasting not just caloric deficits
like do fasting 2-3 days per week and daily intermittent fasting you'll get good results and fat loss
 
when you eat in a calorie deficit your body also burns less calories lol. kinda how science works. anyone want to argue this with me? there always is 'that guy' on forums

this is why people cannot lose weight, stupid diets like what you are doing

best way to lose weight is fasting period
 
Make sure your diet is clean-meat, good fat, veggies, but minimum or no carbs.
Consider intermittent diet, start with 8 hours feeding time, that finishes by 5pm latest, 16 hours of drinks only-water,tea,coffee no sugar. Later go to 6/18 hours and 4/20 hours.
you may also try wet fasting 2 days per week
