What's a good, solid rate to gain quality mass? Is one pound a week too fast, or is that pretty standard? (I'm looking to gain mostly muscle, obviously, not fat)
At the beginning of weight training and diet program, its not unusual for an idividual to gain at a fast rate, but overtime you will plateau. When you do up your carb intake. You will gain some fat, but during a bulking cycle i wouldnt worry too much, just try to keep it to a minimum. You have to consider this--- 10lbs of lean muscle in a year is considered very good.
