What is partially hydrogenated vegetable oil?

There is a sauce (maggi sauce) that I really like.
The ingredients are partially hydrogenated vegetable oil and water. sounds fucked up but i think its mad good.

Does this contain carbs, or too much sodium or whatever? What does it contain, in a nutshell?

Thanks

Hydrogenation is used to turn liquid oils into semi-solid or solid fats. The process heats the often times already cheap, low quality oils to a temp of 250 degrees for several hours creating a trans-fatty acid, destroying all good qualitites of EFA's, and contributes toxic substances to the product. Makes butter spreadable.
yeah... it's crap :smash:
