waking up at night to eat?

Do you think it is necessary or even wise to wake up at night to eat? The last few nights i have woken up and felt hungry so i went downstairs and opened up the fridge and snacked on some cottage cheese then went back to bed. last night i had the same thing happen but was too lazy to get up so i just slept it off, then when i did wake up a few hours later i was not hungry at all. why does this happen?

no it isn't healthy. sleep should be clean so your body can reach stage 3 and 4, if you are throwing food in your body it will have to work on digesting that food instead of repairing your body

you wake up not feeling hungry cause you never were hungry. it is just a mental thing and could be electrolyte imbalance.

Absolutely not. Sleep is meant for sleep where you can repair. If your body starts focusing on digestion you will not get the recovery you need.
