my moms friend went hunting a little bit ago and killed a deer and had someone make it into venison sausage. my mom made little meatballs of it last night and today for christmas eve dinner and for tonight for christmas dinner as hors deuvoures....oh my gosh ive never tasted anything so good. And i assume since its venison its very very low in fat. I ate a whole platter by myself last night i think, followed by some yummy beef tenderloin :)

Generally veni is lower in fat, although sausage is not the best way to eat it, good but not the best. I like the steaks the best with cabela's seasoning grilled yum!

Its low in fat but sausage is a mixture of different parts. Some are fatty, still way leaner than pork.

Depends on how you make the sausage......those fatty parts don't have to be included....so the sausage could technically be ok depending on how it's made.......
