Excerpt: I run into this problem a lot when I return home for school breaks. At school I am pretty regimented with what I eat. When I go home though, the food my family has is not as healthy/not conducive to putting on mass. Lots of times there will be fast food and in general things I don't nomrally eat. So, would it be better to not eat? Or should I still be getting the calories to maintain mass? Me personally, I'm looking to maintain current muscle mass.

Re: Unhealthy food vs no food
I would see if there is a way you could meal prep some healthier alternatives to have around and avoid the temptation of fast food etc.

Here's a thought.... buy and cook your own.

Re: Unhealthy food vs no food
you are young so nobody should expect you to eat like an adult who is on their own yet
if it is your family cooking garbage food you gotta just go and get your own and ask who is cooking to cook what you get.

Get a paper round. Use that money to buy real food. Learn to cook.

If ots an option I'd get your own food and prepare it. If not, make suggestions on food and give your input on alternatives
