What is the best type of carb to use prior to workout? I've heard a lot of people mention dextrose....

I remember reading a formula somewhere to calculate grams needed based on number of sets/intensity....anyone have it?
 
I think its in Mr. X's TKD manual as a sticky.

I remember it as: you take in 3 grams of carbs for each set you do..

So a 15 set workout is 45 grams of carbs before it.
