Is there a significant difference in the GI index of red apples vs. golden apples?

no, they have about the same GI

BTW, the riper the fruit the higher the GI

Anyone know?

Very little difference; but overall the fruit GI is flawed b/c fructose is stored in the liver and then 4x more likely to be stored as fat when the liver is full of glycogen. So, even w/ the low GI it's still a faulty product.
