Sodium in Chicken

I've been trying to cut out some sodium from my diet, but I am worried about the chicken I've been eating. I can find chicken with anywhere between 180-250mg sodium per 4 oz, but when you are eating 12-16 oz every 2-3 hours it can add up. Are there any ways to get rid of some of the salt? I found breasts with only 40mg/4oz, but they are twice the price, and as a college student, can't do it. Any thoughts as to how to reduce the sodium in the chicken breasts? Thanks

Either boil it or soak it. The sodium will enter the water from the chicken.

get some boneless skinless ck breasts and cook em up once a week and have em in ur fridge all week! that way u dont have to worry about the salt since that canned ck is full of sodium..

Unprocessed beef, pork ,lamb and chicken all have about 80 -120 mg of sodium per 6 oz serving.
