Set your tea bag in motion. Dunking the bag up and down for a minute releases more of the tea's antioxidant compounds into the water.

Toss a handful of broccoli sprouts into your food. Unlike broccoli, they don't have to be cooked and can contain up to 100 times more of the vegetable's cancer-fighting compound, sulforaphane.

Trade white potatoes for sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes have fewer calories, twice the vitamin C and 55 percent more fiber than white ones.

Choose red bell peppers. They have nine times the vitamin A and more than twice the vitamin C of green ones.

Go heavy on fresh herbs. Ounce for ounce, fresh herbs are higher in antioxidants than many fruits and vegetables.
