some people say consuming too much salt can delay your weight loss process, is that true? I started a diet a few weeks ago and I would like to know how much salt is ok to consume daily, thank you.

you actually need salt to function. the problem is people eat so much processed meats and other processed foods out of boxes/bags that they get TOO MUCH salt which isn't healthy

here is the bottom line.. in the american diet you already get plenty of salt. so you don't need to add it

Salt has NOTHING to do with fat loss.

Excess sodium will cause you to retain water which will increase body weight, but that's not fat. It's just water.

Salt is an essential electrolyte that has been given an unfair bad rap. Too much sodium obviously isn't good but salt is essential to live. Athletes in particular need sodium for proper electrolyte and fluid balance.

Everything in moderation.

Too much sodium can cause some water retention but that isn't fat. It might make you look bloated but that is easily corrected by drinking more water.
