rice? RICE????

I hear people, including people who are cutting, talk about eating rice to get *some* carbs.

Yet I understand rice has a higher glycemic index than spaghetti. So why do people eat rice?

And what's the best source of carbs for someone trying to seriously cut? Going into ketosis isn't the answer.... or is it?
 
Good question I need to know this my self. I had some people tell me to eat Sweet potatos. But I don't know either....TAPOUTM
 
i eat rice particularly brown rice but white rice is ok (basmati rice, has a Gi of <60)
as part of my post post workout meal when these carbs can be put to good use, but even then i have a "Body for life" portion so i doubt the glycemic load is too heavy, i estimate about 30-40gms of carbs
 
Hmm. Somewhat like a post-workout drink that has carbs.

For a while I tried spaghetti with my post-workout low-carb/high protien shake. So why aren't you useint spaghetti?
