Refeeding, Keto, and Calories

Are carbs necessary to refeed?
What if cals from protein and fat are raised above maintenance instead of shifting back to carbohydrate metabolism?
Because I did feel as if I was plateuing on my diet- so today I ate a surplus of about 450 cals of steak, turkey and salad dressing, and I am sweating hardcore- feeling as though I am a fat furnace right now.

Basically, mabe calories matter more then carbs during refeeds?

This is not an answer, but when I carb-up/cheat or whateva at night, I wake up in the middle of the night on FIRE...

Anyway, I think that studies have shown that non-carbs can also stimulate leptin, just not to the same degree. Also, the prescence of insulin in the bloodstream influences leptin, too, I think.
