The most accurate way of measuring body fat is in water. This is called hydrostatic. Some hospitals and sports medicine clinics offer this method. They basically float you in a tub of water.

Second, would most likely be skin calipers. Very common. Generally measures a pinch of tricep, abdominal, and back.

The electronic body fat machines can be off by as much as 7-8%.
