Excerpt: I cannot take any dairy products because they destroy my stomach. I'm always running to the bathroom and having diarrhea after having anything with milk. Someone told me at the supplement store to try whey isolate because it's supposed to be okay to digest for those who are lactose intolerant. Is this my best option

    Is protein isolate the best options?

    I cannot take any dairy products because they destroy my stomach. I'm always running to the bathroom and having diarrhea after having anything with milk. Someone told me at the supplement store to try whey isolate because it's supposed to be okay to digest for those who are lactose intolerant. Is this my best option

    Try vegeterian proteins, vegan options too, pea protein etc those aren't whey based and easy to digest, wont cause you stomach problems

    protein isolate is still inflammatory and still contains lactose in many cases. i avoid powders entirely

    protein isolate should have much lower amounts of lactose, notice i said SHOULD. many still do

    prefer protein from real food .. poultry .. lean meat .. eggs .. nuts

    It'll depend. If you have dairy issues no. If it's lactose issues then Isolate is ok

    Go with natural proteins, no need for milk products at all
