Oven-Fried Almond Chicken

2 tbs. low sodium soy sauce
4 (4oz chicken breast)
hand full of almonds crushed very fine
2 tbs all-purpose flour
lil' salt and peper
butter-flavored Pam


Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place soy sause in a shallow dish and coat chicken (both sides by rolling) then discard the sauce.

Combine crushed almonds, flour, salt, pepper in a zip-lock bag.
Add chicken and shake bag to coat chicken.

Place coated chicken on a 13x9 baking pan.
Spray top of chicken w/ butter flavored Pam.

Bake for 30 min or untill the chicken is no longer pink.

Estimated ~ 31g Protein 5g Carbs 8-10 grams Fat
 
very similar to the recipe in muscle and fitness a couple monthes ago, but instead of almonds, sesame seeds. mmmm... very tasty
 
OMG..Yea that was good..It was a nice treat!

I even did it the other night w/ the sesame seeds. I really like that one.. i love spicey food so i tossed a lil hot sauce in the soy sauce...It was like a BB Home made Chinese Dinner..MMMM!!
 
I made it and....it sucked.

The flour/almond mixture was mushy and sticky, and it was like trying to shake chicken with peanut butter and trying to get it to stick. Isn't happening. There are just chunks of flour/almond on the chicken, but most of it fell off. And now it's slimy after having it in the fridge.

Maybe next time I'll put the flour/almond mixture in a bowl and just coat both sides. The ziploc bag idea is a very very bad idea.
