Need opinions on chestnuts

In my hometown it is the season of chestnuts, and Iwas wondering if they are just as beneficial as some other nuts, ornot. They are dirt cheap here, so I would get a hella lot of them ifthey would turn out to be a healthy addition to my diet. Does anyoneknow how can they benefit a weightlifting brother of yours?

I honestly have never ate a chestnut but I am a big advocate of all things in moderation.

If god made it - it's good for you

If it comes in a box and has a big ingredient list - chances are it's not the best for you.

Here is the nutrition facts for chestnuts. They are very high in carbs so I would treat them as a carb source.
