    Has anyone heard of the mcdougall starch diet? it is a high fiber, high calorie and low fat diet which is primarily potatoes, beans, rice and excludes animal foods or added oils. it is a high starchy diet and it is based on Dr. John McDougall who saw how civilizations have thrived on this type of diet.

    it is similar to the diet of people in okinawa. heavy plant based and lots of potatoes

    No never heard of it. I just eat high quality whole foods and I don't label it as anything other than a meal.

    Never heard of it personally but I prefer a diet that does not eliminate animal products.

    Not something I'd do. Animal products and meat is where I prefer my protein come from
