improving digestion

I just turned 52 and the older I get the more digestion problems I have. I need your opinions if it's better to improve digestion with special diet or taking supplements and what type of supplements can I take, thank you.

foods that are harder to digest are dairy, meats, processed foods

easier to digest are watery fruits and veggies

keep in mind veggies like cabbage/swiss chard are very tough are actually hard to digest.. so with veggies stick with cucumbers, lettuce and other watery ones

also using a good quality enzyme is very beneficial

strangely enough, i developed food allergies(not like shellfish anaphylactic shock level, but enough to cause serious digestion problems) ... when i was around 40. it can happen even if never allergic before. if nothing else works, you might do an allergy test just to rule it out

I take a supplement to help and that is a tin of pineapple slices everyday. Should drink the juice if your dieting but it's so nice not to.
