It depends on your size, activity level, and heat stress. It is very often more than people actually consume.
Are you always thirsty? Is your pee yellow? If not you're ok.

completely depends on the individual
if you are like me and have a very healthy body you can get away with much less water then someone who has a toxic body. also depends on where you live, if you live in a hot climate where you sweat obviously you need more water. those in cold climates might not drink very much at all
