How many meals do YOU eat a day on CKD?

I eat 5 but thinking of trying 3 or 4. I get tired of the preparation.

I eat 3 and a snack or 2 (homemade beef jerky) and it works ok for me

i eat 6 , at 9, 12,3,6,9,12 . i would definately eat more than three . eating more times a day keeps ur metabolizm faster .

i read that eating an assload of meals a day isn't near as important if you are on a ckd.

It really isn't. The idea of 6 small meals a day was intended to control blood sugar and control hunger. (It's true that this increases one's metabolism)

On controlled carb days you really don't have insulin spikes. I've found that I can work off of 3 meals a day just as easily as 6. Now on refeed days I try to eat 4-6 small meals to curb appetite and control insulin.

I still do 6 so my body has a steady stream of nutrients to recover from workouts etc from
