how to count sugar when counting macros

When counting macros, is sugar counted separately or is this included in the Total Carbs count of the nutritional info?

sugar is a carb, and not a good one at that - 1g sugar=~.5g dextrose + ~.5g fructose
:martini:

Thanks

But, do I need to add the sugar content to the total carbs listed on nutritional info, or is this already included in the total carb count?

Example

If I eat yogurt and it tells me that it has (lets say) 8g of carbs and then below it also says 8g of sugar, do I just count 8g total for carbs or do I have to count/add the sugar content separately?

Hope you understand what I mean.
